Effects of Sm-doping on microstructure, magnetic and microwave absorption properties of BiFeO3

Chuang Tian et al.

Summary: In this study, polycrystalline samples of Bi1-xSmxFeO3 were synthesized successfully using the sol-gel method. The effects of Sm concentration on crystal structure, morphology, chemical states, magnetic properties, and microwave absorption performance were investigated. The results demonstrate that Sm doping can effectively improve magnetic properties and microwave absorption properties of the material.

Pr-Co co-doped BFO multiferroics nanomaterials for absorber applications

Majid Niaz Akhtar et al.

Summary: Pr and Co co-doped BiFeO3 multiferroics were prepared via sol-gel route and characterized using XRD, FTIR, SEM, VSM, and VNA. The orthorhombic structure appeared at higher concentrations, while improved electromagnetic properties were observed in the double-doped multiferroics at x = 0.15. The materials show potential applications in absorption and resonator devices in the GHz regime.

Constructing flower-like core@shell MoSe2-based nanocomposites as a novel and high-efficient microwave absorber

Jingjing Zhang et al.

Summary: A high-efficiency flowerlike FeSe2@MoSe2 core@shell nanocomposite was synthesized through a simple in situ hydrothermal reaction, demonstrating optimal reflection loss values and effective frequency bandwidth for electromagnetic wave attenuation. The nanocomposite showed extraordinary absorption capabilities and broad absorption bandwidth with very thin matching thicknesses, making it a desirable candidate for high-performance microwave absorption materials.

Hollow Engineering to Co@N-Doped Carbon Nanocages via Synergistic Protecting-Etching Strategy for Ultrahigh Microwave Absorption

Panbo Liu et al.

Summary: A controlled synergistic protecting-etching strategy was proposed to construct hollow Co@N-doped carbon nanocages with uniform heterojunctions, addressing the shortcomings of using sacrificing templates or corrosive agents and exhibiting superior microwave absorption performance. The strategy not only provides inspiration for creating hollow void inside other MOFs crystals, but also broadens the candidates for lightweight and high-efficient microwave absorbers.
