Evaluating agreement between bodies of evidence from randomised controlled trials and cohort studies in nutrition research: meta-epidemiological study

Lukas Schwingshackl et al.

Summary: The agreement between diet-disease effect estimates from randomized controlled trials and cohort studies in nutrition research is generally high. However, important differences were mainly driven by dissimilarities in population, intervention or exposure, comparator, and outcome. These findings could improve evidence-based dietary guidelines.
