Procedural mechanical support for lung transplantation

Summary: In lung transplantation, the use of ECMO is favored over CPB for better outcomes, despite ECMO being more invasive. ECMO has been shown to significantly reduce the occurrence of primary graft dysfunction, supporting its routine use during lung transplantation. However, randomized controlled trials are still needed to further confirm these findings.
