Preparation Methods for Graphene Metal and Polymer Based Composites for EMI Shielding Materials: State of the Art Review of the Conventional and Machine Learning Methods

Saba Ayub et al.

Summary: The formation methods of graphene-, metal- and polymer-based composite EMI materials vary, with alternating deposition showing the highest shielding effectiveness in graphene- and metal-based composites, and chemical vapor deposition being the most effective in polymer-based composites. The study also points out a gap in the literature regarding the use of artificial intelligence and machine learning methods, while also noting the significant improvement machine learning methods, including artificial neural networks, have brought to modeling EMI materials in the past half-decade.

Advances in electromagnetic shielding properties of composite foams

Biao Zhao et al.

Summary: In recent years, the issue of electromagnetic interference (EMI) radiation has become increasingly prominent, leading to the need for high efficiency materials to suppress EMI pollution. Traditional metallic shielding has limitations, while conductive polymer composites (CPCs) have attracted attention for their superior properties. Research on inorganic-based and polymer composite foams as EMI shielding materials will likely be the focus for future development.

Scattering of electromagnetic waves by two crossing metallic single-walled carbon nanotubes of finite length

A. Melnikov et al.

Summary: The scattering theory for two crossing metallic single-walled carbon nanotubes of finite length exposed to an electromagnetic field has been developed, incorporating the influence of the contact conductance, position, and angle between tube axes on the tube polarizability. The physical mechanisms responsible for the electromagnetic interaction between crossing tubes with zero and nonzero intertube contact conductance have been discussed, along with the demonstrated influence of coupling between the tubes on their localized plasmon resonance.
