Enhanced interlayer coupling and efficient photodetection response of in-situ grown MoS2-WS2 van der Waals heterostructures

Sneha Sinha et al.

Summary: This study reports the successful growth of large-area MoS2-WS2 vdW heterostructures on oxidized Si substrates using the pulsed laser deposition technique, and the interlayer interactions between the constituent 2D layers were analyzed using Raman spectroscopy. The research demonstrates that the fabrication of vdW heterostructures using a simple and scalable direct growth method can lead to excellent photodetector performance.

Realization of low-power and high mobility thin film transistors based on MoS2 layers grown by PLD technique

Summary: Molybdenum disulfide (MoS2) layers were successfully grown and optimized for low power thin film transistors (TFTs) using pulsed laser deposition (PLD) technique. Among different metal systems, Au/Ag bilayer was found to be the best electrode for efficient charge injection into MoS2 layers, resulting in good electrical characteristics of the fabricated transistors.
