Yuting Zhao et al.

Summary: A new type of composite photocatalyst, T@AIH, is designed with self-indicating and delayed-onset performance to increase the degradability of plastic. The color of T@AIH changes from blue to white when the photocatalytic performance starts, with tunable stable stage length and active stage reaction rate. The interconversion of polyiodide and high diffusivity in the composite play key roles in achieving stable and active stages.

Effects of nitrogen incorporation on N-doped DLC thin film electrodes fabricated by dielectric barrier discharge plasma: Structural evolution and electrochemical performances

M. Nilkar et al.

Summary: Hydrogenated amorphous carbon-nitride (a-C:H:N) thin films (or N-DLC) were deposited on glass and FTO substrates using a dielectric barrier discharge plasma technique with CH4/N-2 gas mixture. Increasing the nitrogen ratio in the gas mixture led to higher nitrogen doping levels, resulting in optimized N-DLC electrodes with excellent electrochemical performance. These electrodes show great potential for biosensors and electrochemical electrode applications.

Influence of Metal-Ion Replacement on the Phase Stabilization of Cubic All-Inorganic Cesium Lead Halide Perovskites: an Ab Initio Thermodynamic Formalism for Solution-Processed Cation Doping

Yun-Hyok Kye et al.

Summary: Inorganic metal halide perovskites show promising prospects in the field of perovskite photovoltaics, with compositional engineering being widely used to improve device performance, particularly the stability of the perovskite phase. The influence of cation doping on the stability of the perovskite cannot be solely explained by the geometrical tolerance factor, emphasizing the complexity of the mechanism behind the effects of metal doping in perovskite materials. Ab initio calculations are used to quantitatively estimate the influence of cation doping on the cubic phase stability of CsPbI3, shedding light on the importance of carefully considering the electropositivity of cation dopants and their substitution probability.
