Mechanistic investigation of photocatalytic degradation of Bisphenol-A using MIL-88A(Fe)/MoS2 Z-scheme heterojunction composite assisted peroxymonosulfate activation

Concurrent recycling chemistry for cathode/anode in spent graphite/LiFePO4 batteries: Designing a unique cation/anion-co-workable dual-ion battery

Summary: The increasing popularity of new energy electric vehicles has led to a rapid growth in the demand for lithium-ion batteries (LIBs), resulting in a large number of spent LIBs. This study proposes a unique recycling strategy to achieve the concurrent reuse of cathode and anode in spent graphite/LiFePO4 batteries, leading to the development of a sustainable and economical method for designing new-type secondary batteries as recycling of spent LIBs. The recycle-derived DIB of Li/RLFPG exhibits good electrochemical performance, demonstrating the potential of large-scale recycling of spent LIBs in the future.

Metal sulfoselenide solid solution embedded in porous hollow carbon nanospheres as effective anode material for potassium-ion batteries with long cycle life and enhanced rate performance

Summary: Potassium-ion batteries show promise as an alternative to lithium-ion batteries, with innovative methods such as introducing hetero-anions into metal compounds to enhance electrochemical kinetics. A new strategy involving embedding metal sulfoselenide solid solution in porous shells of hollow carbon nanospheres has been introduced to create electrode materials with improved stability and conductivity. The conversion reaction mechanism of metal sulfoselenide with potassium ions results in the formation of metal sulfide/metal selenide hetero-interfaces, enabling impressive electrochemical properties for KIBs.

High Performance Flexible Lithium-Ion Battery Electrodes: Ion Exchange Assisted Fabrication of Carbon Coated Nickel Oxide Nanosheet Arrays on Carbon Cloth

Colloidal carbon quantum dots as light absorber for efficient and stable ecofriendly photoelectrochemical hydrogen generation

Summary: This study demonstrated a highly efficient and stable ecofriendly PEC device using C-dots sensitized TiO2 photoanode, Pt loaded on carbon nanofibers as counter electrode, and glucose aqueous solution as electrolyte. The C-dots showed excellent optical properties and structure, interacting strongly with TiO2 to form a stable complex. The PEC devices based on C-dots exhibited a saturated photocurrent density as high as about 4 mA/cm(2) at 0.6 V vs. RHE, and maintained 95% of their initial value after 10-hour illumination at 100 mW/cm(2).
