Statistical and experimental studies of MoS2/g-C3N4/TiO2: a ternary Z-scheme hybrid composite

U. C. Jadan Resnik Jaleel et al.

Summary: The ternary photocatalyst MoS2/g-C3N4/TiO2 was prepared using layered and exfoliated MoS2, g-C3N4, and TiO2 through hydrothermal and wet chemical methods. The synergism among the three nanoparticles through the Z-scheme pathway allows the separation of electron-hole pairs, making MoS2/g-C3N4/TiO2 an outstanding material in the fields of photocatalysis and water treatment.

Dendritic branching Z-scheme Cu2O/TiO2 heterostructure photocatalysts for boosting H2 production

Yong-Hui Zhang et al.

Summary: Cu2O/TiO2 composite with Z-scheme mechanism showed significantly higher photocatalytic hydrogen production activity compared to pure Cu2O and TiO2, due to enhanced light absorption and efficient charge separation. The Z-scheme mechanism was elucidated and confirmed by EPR investigations and DFT calculation, providing guidance for constructing efficient Z-scheme photocatalysts for solar fuel production.

A visible light active, carbon-nitrogen-sulfur co-doped TiO2/g-C3N4 Z-scheme heterojunction as an effective photocatalyst to remove dye pollutants

Zhen Huang et al.

Summary: Constructing composite photocatalysts with heterojunction formation and heteroatom doping is a promising strategy to enhance visible light catalytic activity. The CNS-TiO2/g-C3N4 Z-scheme heterojunction photocatalyst showed excellent degradation performance under visible light due to enhanced utilization of photogenerated electrons-holes. The heteroatom doping efficiently tailored the band gap of TiO2 and facilitated electron transition, contributing to enhanced degradation ability under visible light.
