Tumor microenvironment-responsive, high internal phase Pickering emulsions stabilized by lignin/chitosan oligosaccharide particles for synergistic cancer therapy

Kai Chen et al.

Summary: In this study, lignin-based nanoparticles loaded with hydrophilic drug were used to stabilize high internal phase Pickering emulsions containing hydrophobic drug, improving the stability of anticancer drugs and reducing the risk of drug-drug interactions. The findings showed that the combined drug delivery system provided excellent protection and enhanced killing efficiency against leukemia cells, demonstrating potential for synergistic therapy of drugs with different properties.
