Scattering diagrams from asymptotic analysis on Maurer-Cartan equations

Kwokwai Chan et al.

Summary: In this study, we investigate the asymptotic behavior of Maurer-Cartan solutions of the Kodaira-Spencer deformation theory on a semi-flat Calabi-Yau manifold by expanding them into Fourier series. We prove that the semi-classical limits of the Fourier modes of a specific class of solutions naturally give rise to consistent scattering diagrams.

Refined Scattering Diagrams and Theta Functions From Asymptotic Analysis of Maurer-Cartan Equations

Naichung Conan Leung et al.

Summary: The study further develops the asymptotic analytic approach to analyzing scattering diagrams, providing alternative differential geometric proofs and a geometric interpretation of theta functions. In the tropical setting, Maurer-Cartan elements are interpreted in terms of the refined counting of tropical disks, and theta functions are described in different settings as distinguished flat sections of the deformed differential. This allows for a combinatorial description of Hall algebra theta functions for specific types of key chains.

Tropical Lagrangians in toric del-Pezzo surfaces

Jeffrey Hicks

Summary: From the data of a dimer model, a Lagrangian submanifold in (C*)(n) is constructed, whose valuation projection approximates a tropical hypersurface. Tropical Lagrangian tori L-T2 are found in the complement of a smooth anticanonical divisor, with wall-crossing transformations matching those of monotone SYZ fibers.

A log PSS morphism with applications to Lagrangian embeddings

Sheel Ganatra et al.

Summary: The paper constructs a series of distinguished classes in symplectic cohomology based on assumptions on Gromov-Witten invariants. Under further 'topological' assumptions, these classes can be organized into a log(arithmic) PSS morphism from logarithmic cohomology to symplectic cohomology. By applying these methods and knowledge of Gromov-Witten invariants, dilations and quasi-dilations can be produced in examples such as conic bundles.

THETA BASES AND LOG GROMOV-WITTEN INVARIANTS OF CLUSTER VARIETIES

Travis Mandel

Summary: This paper uses heuristics from mirror symmetry to construct canonical bases of theta functions on the coordinate rings of various log Calabi-Yau spaces, proving that the theta bases for cluster varieties are determined by certain descendant log Gromov-Witten invariants of the symplectic leaves of the mirror/Langlands dual cluster variety. It introduces the concept of contractible tropical curves as a key new technical tool in showing that the relevant log curves are torically transverse.

Tailoring a pair of pants

Helge Ruddat et al.

Summary: This paper demonstrates how to deform the map Log : (C*)(n) -> R-n to obtain the image of complex pair of pants P as a tropical hyperplane, laying the groundwork for having the discriminant to be of codimension 2 in topological Strominger-Yau-Zaslow torus fibrations.

Lagrangian submanifolds from tropical hypersurfaces

Diego Matessi

Summary: The study demonstrates that a smooth tropical hypersurface in R-3 can be lifted to a smooth embedded Lagrangian submanifold in (C*)(3). The main idea of the proof involves using Lagrangian pairs of pants, which were introduced by the author in a previous paper as lifts of tropical hyperplanes.

Lagrangian Pairs of Pants

Diego Matessi

Summary: In this paper, we introduce a method to construct Lagrangian pairs of pants inside the cotangent bundle of a real torus and explore their role as main building blocks in constructing smooth Lagrangian submanifolds. Additionally, the lifting of tropical curves to Lagrangian submanifolds of (C*) is illustrated, along with several new examples of Lagrangian submanifolds inside toric varieties, some of which are monotone.

Smoothing toroidal crossing spaces

Simon Felten et al.

Summary: In this paper, the existence of a smoothing for a toroidal crossing space under mild assumptions is proven. By linking log structures with infinitesimal deformations, the result is presented in a very compact form for normal crossing spaces. The main approach involves studying log structures that are incoherent on a subspace of codimension 2 and proving a Hodge-de Rham degeneration theorem, settling a conjecture by Danilov. This work demonstrates that the homotopy equivalence between Maurer-Cartan solutions and deformations, combined with Batalin-Vilkovisky theory, can be utilized to obtain smoothings, with potential applications in constructing new Calabi-Yau and Fano manifolds, as well as Frobenius manifold structures on moduli spaces.
