Dual lateral flow optical/chemiluminescence immunosensors for the rapid detection of salivary and serum IgA in patients with COVID-19 disease

Aldo Roda et al.

Summary: The study developed a noninvasive and highly sensitive immunosensor for IgA in saliva and serum, which can be used for diagnosing and monitoring COVID-19 infection. The immunosensor demonstrated the capability to detect salivary IgA in infected individuals and correlated with disease severity and infection time.

Rapid, convenient, and highly sensitive detection of human hemoglobin in serum using a high-affinity bivalent antibody-enzyme complex

Daimei Miura et al.

Summary: A rapid and highly sensitive detection method for human hemoglobin in serum was established using a bivalent antibody-enzyme complex (AEC), which showed higher affinity and improved sensitivity compared to monovalent AECs. Additionally, a rapid and wash-free electrochemical detection system for hemoglobin was successfully developed, providing an ideal point-of-care test for hemoglobin and other multimeric biomarkers.
