Synthesis and Biological Evaluation of Novel Isoxazole-Amide Analogues as Anticancer and Antioxidant Agents

Ahmad M. Eid et al.

Summary: A series of new isoxazole-carboxamide derivatives were synthesized and evaluated for their cytotoxic activity against cancer cell lines, with compounds 2d and 2e showing potent anticancer activity against Hep3B cells. These compounds also demonstrated antioxidant activity, with 2a exhibiting the highest antioxidant potency compared to the positive control Trolox.

Quantitative Autofluorescence Imaging of A375 Human Melanoma Cell Samples: A Pilot Study

Afshan Shirkavand et al.

Summary: This study aimed to investigate the feasibility of detecting autofluorescence signals in the A375 human melanoma cell line using the FluoVision optical imaging system. By developing clustering image processing code based on the K-mean segmentation method, the percentage of autofluorescent melanoma cells in the A375 cell line was successfully calculated.
