Experimental approach to nasal septal cartilage regeneration with adipose tissue-derived stem cells and decellularized porcine septal cartilage

Constanze Kuhlmann et al.

Summary: This study investigated the interaction between ASCs and DPNC in an in vitro model and found that ASCs showed good adherence to DPNC, viability, and signs of chondrogenic differentiation under chondrogenic induction medium. The combination of ASCs and DPNC holds promise as an alternative to primary human chondrocytes for facial cartilage tissue engineering. Further research is needed to evaluate the long-term effects and in vivo outcomes of this combination in cartilage regeneration.

Zone-Dependent Architecture and Biochemical Composition of Decellularized Porcine Nasal Cartilage Modulate the Activity of Adipose Tissue-Derived Stem Cells in Cartilage Regeneration

Constanze Kuhlmann et al.

Summary: This study investigated the influence of different zones in human nasal septal cartilage on the fate of adipose tissue-derived stem cells. The findings suggest that the zonal-dependent architecture and composition of nasal cartilage modulate the activities of seeded stem cells, providing new insights for engineering cartilage substitutes in facial reconstructive surgery.

Artificial decellularized extracellular matrix improves the regenerative capacity of adipose tissue derived stem cells on 3D printed polycaprolactone scaffolds

Jana C. Blum et al.

Summary: In this study, the combination of cell-derived artificial extracellular matrix with 3D printed polycaprolactone scaffolds showed promising results in improving bioactivity and differentiation of human adipose derived stem cells. The ac/aoPCL scaffolds demonstrated good biocompatibility and enhanced chondrogenic and osteogenic differentiation potential.
