Therapeutic Strategies Targeting Amyloid-beta Receptors and Transporters in Alzheimer's Disease

Kejing Lao et al.

Summary: Alzheimer's disease is a chronic neurodegenerative disease with heavy social and economic costs. Amyloid-beta has been identified as a major factor in AD progression, causing neurotoxicity through interaction with membrane receptors. Targeting A beta receptors and transporters may be a potential approach for developing AD therapies in the future.

Structure of the EphB6 receptor ectodomain

Emilia O. Mason et al.

Summary: Eph receptors are the largest group of receptor tyrosine kinases, playing essential roles in diverse biological processes through ligand-induced and ligand-independent activities. Structural studies reveal the clustering mechanism of ligand-bound A class receptors, while the structures of B-class Eph ECDs have not been reported. The crystallization and analysis of EphB6-ECD provide new insights into the architecture and interaction mechanisms of B-class Eph receptors.
