Mechanism and monitoring and early warning technology for rockburst in coal mines

Xue-qiu He et al.

Summary: The study highlights significant progress in the prevention and control of rockburst, but also identifies challenges with increasing mining depth. Improved monitoring and warning standards are needed, particularly in relation to complex induction factors and unclear mechanisms. Further research is recommended to explore the trend of rockburst and develop high-reliability sensing technology and equipment for future development.

Energy evolution mechanism and failure criteria of jointed surrounding rock under uniaxial compression

Peng Li et al.

Summary: Research findings show that in rock samples with cross joints and openings, the change in included angle affects the energy evolution characteristics, and crack initiation and propagation can be determined based on the change in energy consumption ratio.

Mechanical and Acoustic Responses of Brittle Geomaterials with a Hole under a Compressive Disturbance

Peng Li et al.

Summary: This study investigated the acoustic emission precursor information and crack propagation mechanism of brittle granite specimens containing a hole under uniaxial compression using AE and DIC techniques. The results indicated that the presence of a hole degrades the mechanical properties, and AE signals can be used to predict the failure process. The initiation and propagation of cracks around the opening are influenced by strain localization, and combining DIC images with AE monitoring reveals the deformation and failure mechanism accurately.

Investigating the Effect of Temperature Changes on the Physical Field of Surrounding Rock in a Deep Gold Mine

Xinghui Wu et al.

Summary: Theoretical solutions for the internal temperature and stress evolution of the underground chamber under cold impact were obtained using thermoelastic theory in this study. The study also analyzed the influence of convective heat transfer coefficient on the rate of tensile stress reduction, showing that it significantly affects the deformation behavior of rocks. These findings provide a reliable theoretical basis for the selection of support materials in deep mining.
