Two Brassica napus cultivars differ in gene expression, but not in their response to submergence

Summary: The study analyzed the molecular response of Brassica napus seedlings to full submergence for the first time, finding that different cultivars showed similar growth repression and induction of defense- and hormone-related pathways under submergence stress. Despite genomic differences, there was no major variation in their responses, highlighting the need for further research on cultivars or related species with higher submergence tolerance.
