Predictors of 30-Day Unplanned Readmission After Carotid Artery Stenting Using Artificial Intelligence

Amod Amritphale et al.

Summary: This study utilized machine learning analysis to create a prediction model for unplanned readmissions within 30 days following carotid artery stenting, finding that depression, heart failure, cancer, in-hospital bleeding, and coagulation disorders were the strongest predictors of readmission. The artificial intelligence machine learning DNN prediction model demonstrated good predictive ability for identifying patients at risk of unplanned readmissions.

Assessment of independent clinical predictors of early readmission after percutaneous endoluminal left atrial appendage closure with the Watchman device using National Readmission Database

Mustafeez Ur Rahman et al.

Summary: The study aimed to assess the 30-day outcomes after pLAAC using a Watchman device in the US population, with a readmission rate of 9.2%. Factors such as chronic kidney disease, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, heart failure, and pericardial disorders were associated with higher readmission rates, helping predict which patients are more at risk of readmission.
