A compound containing giant Er-16 arsenotungstate potassium, K28H74[{Er(H2O)(3)}(4){Er(H2O)}(2){Er(H2O)(2)}(2){As2W19O67(H2O)}(4){AsW9O33}(2){W2O6}(4)][{As2W19O67(H2O)}(4){AsW9O33}(2){AsO2}(2){W2O6}(4){{Er(H2O)}(2){Er(H2O)(2)}(6)}]center dot 227H(2)O (1), was prepared via reaction and characterized by various analytical techniques, exhibiting characteristic near-infrared emission peak of Er3+.
A giant Er-16-containing arsenotungstate K28H74[{Er(H2O)(3)}(4){Er(H2O)}(2){Er(H2O)(2)}(2){As2W19O67(H2O)}(4){AsW9O33}(2){W2O6}(4)][{As2W19O67(H2O)}(4){AsW9O33}(2){AsO2}(2){W2O6}(4){{Er(H2O)}(2){Er(H2O)(2)}(6)}]center dot 227H(2)O (1) was prepared via the reaction of metastable raw material K-14[As2W19O67(H2O)] and Er3+ ion, which was further characterized by IR spectrum, thermogravimetric (TG) analysis, powder X-ray diffraction (XRD), inductively coupled plasma atomic emission spectrometry (ICP) and X-ray single-crystal diffraction. Structural analysis revealed that 1 consists of wave type [{Er(H2O)(3)}(4){Er(H2O)}(2){Er(H2O)(2)}(2){As2W19O67(H2O)}(4){AsW9O33}(2){W2O6}(4)](50)- (1a) and [{As2W19O67(H2O)}(4){AsW9O33}(2){AsO2}(2){W2O6}(4){Er(H2O)}(2){Er(H2O)(2)}(6)}](52)-(1b) unit. The photoluminescence spectrum of 1 shows the characteristic emission peak of Er3+ in the near-infrared region.
