Data Offloading in UAV-Assisted Multi-Access Edge Computing Systems Under Resource Uncertainty

Summary: A novel data offloading decision-making framework is proposed in this paper, where users can partially offload their data to a complex Multi-access Edge Computing (MEC) environment. The framework considers the risk-aware user behavior and the uncertainties in the computing environment. The optimal user task offloading is formulated as a non-cooperative game and the existence and uniqueness of a Pure Nash Equilibrium (PNE) are proven. Detailed numerical results show the convergence of the system to the PNE in few iterations and evaluate the impact of user behavior heterogeneity.

This article introduces the origin and basic concepts of online truthful mechanisms and showcases various design methods applied in wireless networks, focusing on primal-dual based and time slotted online mechanisms, as well as other classes such as Myerson-based, random-based, and matching-based mechanisms.

ON THE COMPLEXITY OF INVERSE MIXED INTEGER LINEAR OPTIMIZATION

Summary: Inverse optimization is the problem of determining missing input parameters for a forward problem closest to given estimates and making a target vector optimal. The relationship between a specific inverse mixed integer linear optimization problem and its forward problem, as well as the separation problem associated with its feasible region, is studied. The inverse problem is shown to be equivalent to the separation problem for the radial cone defined by valid inequalities for the convex hull of solutions to the forward problem and binding at the target vector.
