This article introduces a method for robust fixed-time stability and stabilization. New global robust fixed-time stability results are proposed for scalar systems using constant and variable exponent coefficients. These results are then applied to achieve global robust fixed-time stabilization of a class of uncertain nonlinear second-order systems using sliding-mode control. Simulation results are provided to illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed approach.
