This letter presents the fabrication and characterization of a high performance UV-Vis wideband photodetector based on a ZnO nanorods / PTB7 polymer hybrid heterojunction, which demonstrates excellent responsivities and external quantum efficiencies in the UV and visible light spectrum.
This letter reports the fabrication and characterization of a ZnO nanorods / p-type poly[[4,8-bis [(2 ethylhexyl) oxy] benzo [1,2-b:4,5-b']dithiophene-2,6-diyl][3-fluoro-2[(2ethylhexyl)carbonyl] thieno [3,4-b] thiophenediyl]](PTB7) polymer hybrid heterojunction based high performance ultraviolet-visible (UV-Vis) wideband photodetector. Under a low bias voltage of -1 V, the device shows the responsivities, detectivities and external quantum efficiencies (EQEs) measured at 380 nm (UV) and 640 nm (visible) wavelengths are similar to 307.18 A/W and similar to 33.64 A/W; similar to 1.56 x 10(13) Jones and similar to 1.7 x 10(12) Jones; and similar to 100.23 x 10(3) % and similar to 6.51 x 10(3) % respectively.
