This study compares radar images of a one-dimensional perfectly conducting rough surface for monostatic and equivalent bistatic imaging configurations. The results indicate that, although the first-order single scattering images are similar for both imaging modalities, higher-order scattering effects can exhibit different characteristics.
Radar images of a 1-D perfectly conducting rough surface are compared for monostatic and for the equivalent bistatic imaging configurations. The results show that, while first-order single scattering images are largely similar; higher-order scattering effects can show differing signatures for these two imaging modalities.
