The role of Th17 immunity in chronic ocular surface disorders

Summary: Th17 cells play a crucial role in chronic ocular surface disease by releasing inflammatory cytokines. Long-lived memory Th17 cells predispose hosts to chronic inflammation and severe exacerbations of disease. Special attention is given to a small subset of Th17/1 cells that secrete both IL-17A and IFN-gamma during acute-on-chronic disease exacerbation.

Clinically Relevant Activity of the Novel RASP Inhibitor Reproxalap in Allergic Conjunctivitis: The Phase 3 ALLEVIATE Trial
