Mechanisms of stationary converted waves and their complexes in the multi-component AB system

Han-Song Zhang et al.

Summary: In this article, a multi-component AB system modeling self-induced transparency phenomenon is investigated using the modified Darboux transformation to present breather solutions. Various stationary nonlinear excitations are obtained, such as multi-peak solitons and periodic waves, by studying the mechanism converting breathing state into solitary and periodic states. The relationship among the converted waves is shown through the analysis of group velocity difference, with the classification of different types of nonlinear waves based on superposition mechanism.

Breather Molecular Complexes in a Passively Mode-Locked Fiber Laser

Junsong Peng et al.

Summary: This study observed different types of breather complexes in a mode-locked fiber laser, with intermolecular temporal separation reaching several hundreds of picoseconds, indicating long-range interactions. This opens the possibility of studying the dynamics of many-body systems where breathers are the elementary constituents.

Data-driven femtosecond optical soliton excitations and parameters discovery of the high-order NLSE using the PINN

Yin Fang et al.

Summary: The researchers utilized a physics-informed neural network to address various femtosecond optical soliton solutions of the high-order nonlinear Schrodinger equation, achieving smaller prediction errors for specific solutions. As the prediction distance increases, the prediction error gradually rises. By optimizing the neural network in terms of layers, neurons, and sampling points, the researchers significantly reduced errors compared to prior research, indicating potential for new methodologies in this field.
