Impact of peri-urban landscape on the organic and mineral contamination of pond waters and related risk assessment

Summary: This study focused on 12 ponds located in a peri-urban area, revealing that contamination profiles were more correlated with agricultural land use. Half of the ponds were classified as degraded states due to physico-chemical parameters. The main quantified organic pollutants were pesticides, with levels high enough in certain cases to exceed classical risk thresholds.
