Institutional analysis of forest governance after the implementation of Law Number 23/2014 in North Sumatra Province, Indonesia

Summary: The study found that despite the implementation of Law Number 23/2014 in Indonesia, forest governance performance has not significantly improved. Lack of synergy, centralistic forest management, narrowed jurisdiction boundaries, continued use of central government regulations, and disputes over forest ownership indicate the need for institutional reforms to enhance forest governance.
