Health Impacts of Urban Bicycling in Mexico

Summary: Promoting bicycling in urban areas of Mexico can have a positive impact on public health by preventing premature deaths. The health benefits of physical activity outweigh the risks associated with traffic accidents and air pollution exposure for bicyclists. Sustainable transport policies, such as supporting active transportation through bicycling and urban design improvements, could further encourage physical activity and its health benefits at a national level.
