Summary: This paper investigated the co-pyrolysis behavior of cellulose and urea, finding that the peak area of anhydro sugars was higher with a 20% urea proportion, and furans and carbonyls were key intermediates for the formation of nitrogenous heterocyclic compounds. Higher temperature was found to be unfavorable for improving the selectivity of NHCs.
