Multitasking multi-objective operation optimization of integrated energy system considering biogas-solar-wind renewables

Ting Wu et al.

Summary: The paper introduces a grid-connected integrated energy system that considers biogas-solar-wind complementarities and applies digester heating for biogas production. A multi-objective optimization model is used to optimize operational cost, carbon dioxide emission, and energy loss, while comparing the system to a natural gas-solar-wind IES. The study also presents an improved multitasking paradigm within the domain of multi-objective optimization to enhance convergence characteristics and performance evaluation.

An Improved Rectifier Circuit for Piezoelectric Energy Harvesting from Human Motion

Mahesh Edla et al.

Summary: This paper discusses the research on using an improved H-Bridge rectifier circuit to harvest energy from human motion for powering small scale electronic devices. Experimental tests show that the proposed circuit significantly increases rectified voltage and output power compared to the conventional FBR circuit, making it potentially suitable for powering devices from human motion.

Development of a novel non-contact piezoelectric wind energy harvester excited by vortex-induced vibration

Shuyun Wang et al.

Summary: By utilizing a novel non-contact vortex-induced vibration-based piezoelectric wind energy harvester, the reliability and environmental adaptability have been enhanced. Through optimization of design and experimental validation, the maximum output power reached 1.438 mW and it can effectively operate within a wide wind speed range. With an increase in wind speed, enhancing transducer mass and decreasing shell mass can improve wind speed bandwidth, vibration displacement and output voltage.
