In this study, activated carbon with high specific surface area and predominately micropores was produced using flowers from Borassus flabellifer and potassium hydroxide. The carbon material exhibited high electrochemical performance in supercapacitor applications, showing a specific capacitance of 247 F/g and excellent cycling stability.
