Summary: Using the Bayesian Structural Time Series model, it was found that the recent interest rate hike by the Czech Central Bank had little and time-limited impact on the Koruna exchange rate. The results suggest that the Czech Central Bank has the ability to diverge significantly from the Eurozone benchmark interest rate in the short term, but the interest rate hike may not be effective in curbing global inflation forces on the domestic price level.

Summary: The recent global crisis that started in 2008 had a significant impact on central banks' credibility, with monetary authorities deploying non-standard policy instruments such as zero interest rates and quantitive easing. The Czech National Bank and the European Central Bank took different approaches during and post-crisis, with the former being more effective in terms of interest rate cuts and inflation control with their non-standard policy instrument. The application of moral hazard by both central banks during the crisis could also affect their credibility and independence in the future.

AMBIGUOUS EFFECTS OF MINIMUM WAGE TOOL OF LABOUR MARKETS REGULATION - KEY STUDY OF V4 COUNTRIES
