Summary: The study identified the diagenetic evolution of Longmaxi Formation shale using various analytical techniques, and revealed the impact of diagenetic evolution on shale gas exploration and development in the Sichuan Basin. The differences in diagenetic systems between the basin margin and center influenced the absorption capacity and fracturing effects of the shale gas.
