Effect of interface defects on high efficient perovskite solar cells

Farhad Izadi et al.

Summary: Experimental J-V and external quantum efficiency (EQE) were used to validate the improvement in efficiency of perovskite solar cells (PSC) in this study. The impact of interface properties at the electron transport layer (ETL)/PSK and PSK/hole transport layer (HTL) on open-circuit voltage (Voc) and fill factor (FF) was examined. Optimization of trap defect energy at these interfaces was found to be crucial for enhancing carrier collection in the PSK solar cells.

Stable tin perovskite solar cells enabled by widening the time window for crystallization

Zhensheng Dai et al.

Summary: A strategy to stabilize Sn perovskite enabled by an amine complex was proposed in this study, addressing the issues of poor crystallization and chemical stability of Sn perovskites. The resulting Sn perovskite films showed enhanced crystallinity and stability compared to those made with conventional additives. The device achieved a higher efficiency and maintained over 90% of the initial efficiency after 1000 hours of light soaking.

Property Modulation of Two-Dimensional Lead-Free Perovskite Thin Films by Aromatic Polymer Additives for Performance Enhancement of Field-Effect Transistors

Fan Zhang et al.

Summary: In this study, the properties of phenethylammonium tin iodide perovskite thin films were modulated by introducing aromatic polymer additives, leading to improved morphology, crystallization, and inhibition of Sn2+ oxidation. The performance of the field-effect transistors based on the polymer-assisted thin films differed significantly, with one showing improved on-off current ratio and reduced leakage current, while the other exhibited relatively poor overall performance. The use of PVP and PVPD additives also enhanced the chemical stability of the perovskite and operational stabilities of the corresponding transistors.

Effect of Monovalent Metal Iodide Additives on the Optoelectric Properties of Two-Dimensional Sn-Based Perovskite Films

Youjin Reo et al.

Summary: This study systematically investigated the lattice structural variation, film properties, and thin-film transistor performance of phenethylammonium tin iodide perovskite by incorporating different monovalent cations. The experimental results showed that the incorporated foreign aliovalent cations were segregated along the grain boundaries instead of doped inside the perovskite lattice. The CuI-(PEA)2SnI4 heterostructure composite channel layers exhibited much improved film properties and device performance compared with the pristine ones.
