Optimal Selection of Conductors in Three-Phase Distribution Networks Using a Discrete Version of the Vortex Search Algorithm

John Fernando Martinez-Gil et al.

Summary: This study proposes a new methodology for optimal conductor selection in three-phase distribution networks using a discrete version of the vortex search method. The objective is to minimize investment costs and technical losses, which is implemented and evaluated in balanced and unbalanced test systems to demonstrate effectiveness. The results show efficiency in comparison with other optimization approaches.
