Study on the preparation, characterization, and electrocatalytic performance of Gd-doped PbO2 electrodes

Yuhan Diao et al.

Summary: Gd-doped PbO2 electrodes prepared by electrodeposition showed stable and durable service life in accelerated life tests. The electrodes had a more compact structure and finer grain size, leading to higher oxygen evolution overpotential and stronger ability to generate hydroxyl radicals. The electrocatalytic performance for thiamethoxam degradation exhibited higher removal capabilities, mineralization efficiency, and reusability, showcasing a promising application prospect in pollutant degradation.

Electrochemical degradation of reverse osmosis concentrate (ROC) using the electrodeposited Ti/TiO2-NTs/PbO2 electrode

Fuqiang Wei et al.

Summary: A Ti/TiO2-NTs/PbO2 electrode was successfully fabricated and showed superior electrochemical performance in degrading reverse osmosis concentrate from local printing and dyeing mills. The introduction of TiO2-NTs enhanced electron transport and facilitated the generation of hydroxyl radicals, leading to more effective degradation under weakly alkaline conditions. The electrode retained its COD removal capacity and morphology, with no detection of Pb(II) even after 10 cycles of continuous use.
