Chemical composition and phytotoxicity of essential oil from invasive plant, Ambrosia artemisiifolia L.

Summary: The study analyzed the chemical composition of Ambrosia artemisiifolia essential oil, which is rich in sesquiterpenes, and found it to have significant phytotoxic activities against both monocot and dicot plants. Additionally, the essential oil altered root tip cells by decreasing the mitotic index and increasing chromosomal aberrations.
