Vegetation greening in more than 94% of the Yellow River Basin (YRB) region in China during the 21st century caused jointly by warming and anthropogenic activities

Feng Tian et al.

Summary: The study highlights the importance of reliable detection and observation of vegetation changes in maintaining the ecological balance in northern China. Significant vegetation greening and browning trends have been observed in the Yellow River Basin during the 21st century, largely driven by factors such as climate warming, population increase, and afforestation.

Impacts of climate change and anthropogenic activities on vegetation change: Evidence from typical areas in China

Kaiyuan Zheng et al.

Summary: This study investigated the heterogeneous impacts of climate change and anthropogenic activities on vegetation change in China using trend analysis and Geodetector approach. The results showed that both climatic factors and anthropogenic factors play important roles in influencing vegetation change, with forestry investment identified as the dominant driving force. Protecting vegetation is crucial for promoting vegetation greening and maintaining high levels of forests.
