In silico characterization and expression analysis of eight C-type lectins in obscure puffer Takifugu obscurus

Ying Huang et al.

Summary: In this study, eight C-type lectins (CTLs) were discovered in obscure pufferfish. These CTLs were found to be distributed in various tissues and their expression patterns were induced by bacterial and poly(I:C) challenges. The results suggest that these CTLs may play important roles in host defense against bacterial and poly(I:C) infections in obscure pufferfish.
