Summary: A prospective cohort study on patients with various cutaneous disorders showed that serum homocysteine (HC) levels decreased by 24.8% after at least 30 sessions of narrow-band UVB (NBUVB) phototherapy. This decrease was particularly significant in male participants and patients older than 40 years, suggesting potential protective effects against cardio-cerebro-vascular accidents.
