Ultrathin polyoxometalate nanosheets with in-plane alignment can be constructed in aqueous solution using cationic peptides as assistance. This general approach allows the templating of different types of polyoxometalates with varying topology, size, and charges into ordered 2D nanostructures, enabling the fabrication of customizable 2D materials.
Ultrathin polyoxometalate nanosheets with an in-plane alignment have been constructed in aqueous solution with the assistance of cationic peptides. Different POMs varying in topology, size, and charges could be templated into ordered 2D nanostructures based on this generalized approach, allowing the fabrication of customizable 2D materials.
