Synthesis of 1H-1,2,3-Triazole-Linked Quinoline-Isatin Molecular Hybrids as Anti-Breast Cancer and Anti-Methicillin-Resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) Agents

Summary: This study synthesized quinoline-isatin hybrids as potential drug candidates against breast cancer and MRSA cells, with compounds 7g-i showing strong cytotoxicity against MCF-7 cells and compound 7h emerging as the best candidate against MDAMB-231 and MRSA cells. These compounds exhibited selectivity for cancer cells without significant toxicity to non-cancerous cells.

Molecular docking study suggested DprE1 as a potential enzymatic target for the hybrids, showing binding interactions within the vicinity of DprE1 active site.
