Regulating electronic properties of BiOBr to enhance visible light response via 3d transition metals doping: DFT plus U calculations

Summary: In this work, the properties of pure BiOBr and 3d transition metals-doped BiOBr were calculated using the DFT + U method. Different types of transition metals doping were found to have varying effects on the band gap of the materials and influence the optical absorption properties.
