Investigation of Luminescent Triplet States in Tetranuclear CuI Complexes: Thermochromism and Structural Characterization

Summary: In this study, four metal-centered complexes were investigated for their potential in designing new OLED relevant species. Through a combination of experimental analysis and theoretical calculations, the complexes with ortho-substituted bridging ligands were found to exhibit temperature-dependent dual phosphorescence. This study also successfully combined luminescence thermochromism with time-resolved FTIR spectroscopy to provide experimental data on the structures of the involved triplet states.

Tuning the architectures and luminescence properties of Cu(I) compounds of phenyl and carboranyl pyrazoles: the impact of 2D versus 3D aromatic moieties in the ligand backbone

Summary: A series of pyrazole ligands with carboranyl groups were successfully synthesized and coordinated with CuI to form different polynuclear compounds, with carboranyl ligands resulting in 0D and 3D coordination compounds. The photoluminescence behavior of these compounds was studied, showing different emission properties such as blue emission with high quantum yield and weak emission in the green region. The results suggest unique emission origins and distortion behaviors in these octahedral compounds, providing new insights into their luminescent properties.
