Experimental study on the pore structure variation of self-compacting rubberised concrete under fatigue load

Jiayi Yuan et al.

Summary: The correlation analysis in this paper revealed that fatigue load significantly affects the pore structure of self-compacting rubberised concrete, leading to deterioration as damage develops. Parameters of pore structure can serve as indices for predicting fatigue life.

Preparation and flexural fatigue resistance of self-compacting road concrete incorporating nano-silica particles

Yingli Gao et al.

Summary: In this study, the mix proportion of self-compacting road concrete was optimized by incorporating nano-silica particles to enhance its flexural fatigue performance. Results showed that adding 1% nano-silica to the cementitious materials led to the best flexural fatigue performance, reducing the reduction factor of flexural strength and the sensitivity of fatigue life to stress levels.

An advanced train-slab track spatially coupled dynamics model: Theoretical methodologies and numerical applications

Jun Luo et al.

Summary: This paper extends the classical vehicle-track coupled dynamics theory by introducing track flexibility and advanced coupling relations into a three-dimensional train-slab track system. The model takes into account longitudinal coupling effects and flexible lateral vibration of track slab, which are often neglected in conventional dynamics models. The proposed dynamics model has been verified using ANSYS software and co-simulation technique, showing that dynamic responses are sensitive to longitudinal coupling effects and slab in-plane vibration, emphasizing the importance of accurate evaluations on train-slab track interactions.
