GPU acceleration of CaNS for massively-parallel direct numerical simulations of canonical fluid flows

Pedro Costa et al.

Summary: This work demonstrates the GPU acceleration of CaNS code for fast and massively parallel simulations. By extending the solver into CUDA Fortran, leveraging the unified memory feature, the implementation process has been greatly simplified.

MFC: An open-source high-order multi-component, multi-phase, and multi-scale compressible flow solver

Spencer H. Bryngelson et al.

Summary: MFC is an open-source tool for solving multi-component, multi-phase, and bubbly compressible flows. The tool is capable of efficiently solving a wide range of flows using 5- and 6-equation thermodynamically-consistent diffuse-interface models coupled with high-order interface-capturing methods and TVD time-integration schemes. The methods have been validated through comparisons to experimental results and are free of spurious oscillations for material-interface advection and gas-liquid Riemann problems.
