Synthesis of a La(OH)3 nanorod/walnut shell biochar composite for reclaiming phosphate from aqueous solutions

Yuan Luo et al.

Summary: The La(OH)(3) nanomd/walnut shell biochar composite (LN-WB) effectively adsorbed phosphate over a wide pH range, with a removal efficiency close to 100% at an initial phosphorus concentration of 10 mg P/L. The adsorption process was mainly controlled by chemisorption, and the loading efficiency of La on WB was up to 73.89%.
