Generalized Polynomial Guidance for Terminal Velocity Control of Tactical Ballistic Missiles

Summary: This paper introduces a generalized polynomial guidance method for controlling the terminal velocity vector of tactical ballistic missiles, which is critical for the warhead effectiveness. By utilizing a polynomial reference trajectory and a guidance parameter, an iterative search method is used to achieve the desired terminal speed. Numerical simulation studies demonstrate the performance and robustness of the proposed method.
