Rapidly photocatalytic mineralization of typical veterinary drugs with the SnO2/SnIn4S8 composite

Yuancai Lv et al.

Summary: A novel photocatalyst SnO2/SnIn4S8 was successfully prepared and used for the photocatalytic degradation of olaquindox, showing excellent photocatalytic performance and mineralization ability. The heterojunction between SnO2 and SnIn4S8 effectively reduced recombination of photogenerated charges, leading to enhanced degradation efficiency and stability, with the formation of 10 intermediates during the degradation process.

Sulfidated nanoscale zero-valent iron dispersed in dendritic mesoporous silica nanospheres for degrading tetrabromobisphenol A

Hui Li et al.

Summary: Sulfidated nanoscale zero-valent iron (S-NZVI) dispersed in dendritic mesoporous silica nanospheres (S-NZVI/DMSN) showed enhanced pollutant degradation efficiency and rate due to improved dispersion and accessibility, with a specific surface area of 136.2m²/g, surpassing that of S-NZVI. The sustained reactivity and transportability of S-NZVI/DMSN indicated its potential for groundwater pollutant degradation.
