Hybrid gel polymer electrolyte based on 1-methyl-1-Propylpyrrolidinium Bis(Trifluoromethanesulfonyl) imide for flexible and shape-variant lithium secondary batteries

Muchakayala Ravi et al.

Summary: Polymer electrolytes based on PVdF-HFP, LiTFSI, and PMPyrrTFSI were prepared and their composition dependence and electrical properties were studied to develop the optimum composition. The optimized gel polymer electrolytes exhibited high mechanical stability and excellent thermal stability up to 420 degrees C, showing potential for application in solid-state lithium secondary batteries. A solid-state cell based on 70PVdF-HFP/30LiTFSI/60PMPyrrTFSI delivered a maximum discharge capacity of 151 mAh g(-1) at room temperature with good rate capability and cycling performance.
