CHIP protects against MPP+/MPTP-induced damage by regulating Drp1 in two models of Parkinson's disease

Zhengwe Hu et al.

Summary: The study explores the protective role of CHIP in cells and murine PD models. Overexpression of CHIP improved cell viability and increased ATP levels in SH-SY5Y cells treated with MPP+. Results showed that CHIP overexpression in mice suppressed MPTP-induced damage and maintained mitochondrial integrity.
